This is an arrangement of “7 years”, composed by Lukas Graham. This song is originally written for voice with accompaniment. The reason why I chose to arrange this song is because I really like the melody of this song which I findt very “lively” to listen to.

I decided to arrange the song as an instrumental arrangement only, instead of putting a male voice like the original version. The intention of making it as an instrumental only is to increase people’s awareness in learning music and to make them personally explore new instruments. I found it interesting to do. This arrangement is written for harp, piano, cello and violin.

I was pleased that I was able to to create an arrangement using instruments that I can’t actually play - such as the flute. I hope that this arrangement gives people a positive impression when they listen to it.

Unfortunately, I also found many challenges throughout the process. I used the MIDI keyboard as a tool to help create the score for my composition in order to save time. It turned out to be frustrating and time-consuming using the Sibelius, but I learned a lot in the process about how to work with this notation software.

Overall, I am happy with the results and am glad I was able to persevere and finish the arrangement by the deadline.
