Year 9B (2017) recorded this track as a warm-up to their original compositon '2047'. It was to give experience with finding 'the flow' or rhythmic accents in the words and recording with the studio microphone and headphones.

Rapping basically is spoken words to a beat.
Music with a message which started on the street,
From people who had nothing, but had plenty to say,
driven by the grooves from a record DJ.

Two turntables and a microphone you see,
Gave birth to hip-hop and the rapping M.C.
Cause there’s rhythm in our words...don’t you know?
And when we talk about Rap, this is called, ‘the flow’.

Now this is music which began in the USA
From lots of different people with different things to say
Sure we all know the stereotype,
the gangsta rapper spitting words full of hype
of drive by shootings and the ghetto life,
of chasing money, packing guns and getting into strife.
But that’s just one BIG cliche...
take it back to the truth,
tell US, what YOU got to say?
